Are you looking for a fun, effective way to share the French language with your child?

Wouldn’t it be great to give them a head start hearing and speaking French, while their growing brains are literally “language learning machines”?

How great would it be if you could use the power of the computer and attraction of a video game to open your child’s mind to hundreds of French words?

“The best learning feels more like play than work”

My name is Sandy, and I grew up outside the US. When I moved into the country, I made friends with lots of bilingual parents with small children. They often talked about how sad they were that their kids weren’t learning their native language. They couldn’t share the stories and the songs of their own youth with their children.

Some of them tried to spend time speaking French with their youngsters, but didn’t always have the time, and weren’t sure how to introduce a second language. They tried some computer-based language learning programs, but soon realized that they worked great for readers, but not for kids who couldn’t yet follow written instructions.

My husband Steve is a computer programmer and Internet expert. When I asked him if he knew of any good language programs for children, he did a search and came up empty. That’s when he got this look in his eyes (if you’ve ever lived with a programmer, you know exactly what I’m talking about), and said, “Why don’t we make one ourselves?”

“The ‘Rosetta Stone’ for the Pre-Kindergarten Set”

We researched the most effective language programs in the market - Rosetta Stone, Berlitz, Pimsleur - and modeled the best features of each. From Pimsleur we took spaced repetition. From Rosetta Stone, positive feedback and engagement. From Berlitz, understanding in context.

Steve also is a big fan of video games, so he understands how to make an activity fun, engaging and challenging. Together, we started experimenting. We had the audio professionally recorded (we definitely wanted kids to learn from a native French speaker), Steve found simple and cheerful pictures, and wrote a simple yet powerful program that we call “Easy French For Kids.”

My friends immediately loved it, and encouraged us to make it available to French-speaking parents everywhere. (OK, and non-French-speaking parents who want their children to learn French too.)

Here’s what’s in Easy French For Kids

- Develop a basic vocabulary in French with over 120 words and sentences

- Immerse your child through our use of a native French speaker

- Form word relationships quickly with our eight different categories of content

- High-quality and fun illustrations help increase retention

- Build a solid foundation in “Learning Mode”, where basic vocabulary is made easy

- Industry proven “Quiz Mode”, will have your child speaking sooner than any other method

Because it’s so simple, you don’t have to worry about your child spending hours on the computer. Easy French For Kids is designed to entertain and educate children in just minutes a day. It’s not a chore, and it’s not an addictive online game.

You can play along with your child, but you don’t have to. The program is so clear and intuitive, they’ll be happily learning French on their own in seconds. And don’t be surprised when they start trying to teach you to say, “The giraffe has a long neck” in French!

If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to introduce the beautiful and rich French language and heritage to your child, we hope you’ll give our “labor of love” a try.

And please let us know what you think!

Thank You,

Sandy & Steve
